Ellen Fisher received the degree of Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance at Temple University, where she studied flute with Murray Panitz and chamber music with Bernard Garfield, Anthony Gigliotti, and Richard Woodhams, all of the Philadelphia Orchestra. A distinguished orchestral performer and chamber musician, she is a member of Volanti Flutes, a flute quartet based in Princeton, New Jersey; and principal flutist of the Bravura Philharmonic, conducted by Chiu-Tze Lin, in West Windsor, New Jersey. She is a former faculty member of Wilmington Music School and has taught at the Bryn Mawr Conservatory of Music since 1989.
