• Ronald Lipscomb

  We are proud to announce that the distinguished cellist Ronald Lipscomb joins our faculty, as of this summer. Mr. Lipscomb studied with Bernard Greenhouse and Pablo Casals, and he has performed with the New York Philharmonic under the direction of Leonard Bernstein and with the American Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Leopold Stokowski. He frequently appears as a recitalist and as a member of the Fairmount String Quartet, and he is a faculty member at Drexel University and Eastern College.

• Piano Masterclasses

  We are pleased to announce that, beginning this fall, Marcantonio Barone, head of the Conservatory’s Piano Department, will offer free masterclasses in piano performance. The first two classes are scheduled for Friday evenings, 4 November and 9 December, at 7:45.
