Rosalind ErwinBryn Mawr Conservatory of Music Clarinet Faculty
Ms. Erwin received her Bachelor’s Degree in Performance from the New School of Music and her Master’s Degree in Performance from the Esther Boyer College of Music at Temple University, where she studied with Anthony Gigliotti, Principal Clarinet of the Philadelphia Orchestra. She has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and has appeared as clarinet soloist with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Erwin is Conductor of the Drexel University Orchestra and Director and Conductor of the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra. She was the founder of Music 2000 – The Symphony Orchestra, and Music Director of the Pottstown Symphony Orchestra. She has appeared as guest conductor with orchestras in Portugal, Croatia, the Czech Republic, and Bulgaria, as well as throughout the United States. Her teachers and mentors in conducting included Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Muti, Leonard Slatkin, David Zinman, Sidney Rothstein, William Smith, and Joseph Barone, founding director of the Bryn Mawr Conservatory of Music.
