Accompanist
Andrew Hauze is a graduate of the Helen F. Whitaker Fund Conducting Program at the Curtis Institute of Music and holds the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Music from Swarthmore College. He is the Music Director of the Swarthmore College Orchestra and the cover conductor of the Delaware Symphony. Especially committed to opera, he has conducted productions of Domenick Argento’s Postcard from Morocco at the Curtis Opera Theatre and of Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’amore and Glucks Orfeo ed Euridice at Swarthmore College. He has led world premieres of orchestral works by Ke-Chia Chen, Sheridan Seyfried, and Steven Cabell with the Curtis Symphony Orchestra. An active pianist and organist, Mr. Hauze serves as Music Director of University Lutheran Church of the Incarnation in Philadelphia, as a vocal coach for the CoOperative Program at Westminster Choir College, and as an accompanist for the Florence Vocal Seminar in Italy. His principal teachers have included Otto-Werner Mueller, Marcantonio Barone, Keiko Sato, and Jeffrey Brillhart.
