  • Oliver Hsu, teacher of cello at the Bryn Mawr Conservatory of Music, toured Korea this summer as guest performer with the New Jersey Philharmonic Orchestra.

  • Ashley Chiang, flute student of Ellen Fisher, was appointed Principal Flute of the Conestoga High School Orchestra.
  • Anil Chitrapu, piano student of Laurie Ticehurst Poole, was chosen to sing the National Anthem at a Phantom’s Hockey Game in Philadelphia, and travelled to India to sing a full length recital of Indian music and appear on Indian Television. He also starred in the MTI- and Disney-sponsored Broadway Junior Production of “Cinderella”.
  • Nicole Farbes-Lyons, voice student of Kathryna Barone, is a new member of the Di Capo Opera Company of New York City.
  • Chelsea Grossman, piano student of Laurie Ticehurst Poole, was piano soloist in concert at the Chester County Branch of Jewish Community High School at Gratz College in Philadelphia.
  • Lisa Kim, flute student of Ellen Fisher, was selected to join the flute section of the Delaware County Young Musician’s Orchestra.
  • Benjamin Lei, violin student of John Sergovic, has become Principal Second Violin in the Conestoga High School Orchestra.
  • Grace Li, piano student of Laurie Ticehurst-Poole, was awarded a $2,000 Grant from the George H. Slick Arts Endowment. The honor also includes a solo recital to be performed during her Junior year at Strath Haven High School in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.
  • Mitchell Lyon, composition student of Benjamin Boyle, was chosen to conduct and record a concert performance of his own composition Gnomic Migration with the Lower Merion Senior High School Orchestra.
  • Edward Poll, composition student of Benjamin Boyle and piano student of Marcantonio Barone, was the recipient of the 2007 ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Award. He was chosen from a national field of over 600 contestants.
  • Daniel Sacerio, piano student of Laurie Ticehurst Poole, travelled to France, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany with the American Music Abroad Bronze Tour.
  • Gregory Wang, violin student of John Sergovic, is now Assistant Concertmaster of the Wissahickon Middle School Orchestra.
